Labuan Water Pipeline Project

The Ministry of Energy, Green Technology and Water of the Government of Malaysia is undertaking the development of a water pipeline in Labuan, East Malaysia that will connect from the existing Phase 1 treatement plant at Kg. Lawa to a new storage reservoir in Labuan to mitigate the acute water shortage in Labuan

The scope of works undertaken by Leighton includes:

  • Take delivery 23,340m of 26" pipeline
  • Pre-installation pipe lay analysis
  • Install and pre-commission submarine pipeline in water depths up to 22m by 'S' lay method
  • Post trench approximately 1.8kg at three locations along route
  • Interface with existing mudflats contractor including a midpoint tie-in

BEKK Solutions International Limited will provide the air diving support for all the associated works for the installation and commissioning of the water pipeline project.
