Shuqaiq Phase 2 Fuel Import Offshore Pipeline & SBM

BEKK Solutions International Limited (UK) has been awarded the contract and is mobilizing Deep Air Diving Systems onto the Leighton Pipe Lay & Crane Barge – STEALTH and Crane Barge (VoO) that will be performing the construction work offshore in the Southern part of the Red Sea, Shuqaiq on Saudi Arabia’s South West Coast for the Shuqaiq Water & Electricity Company.

With subsea diving assistance from BEKK, Leighton current project is for the unhooking of the existing SPBM, floating and subsea hoses, pipeline end manifold (PLEM) system, installation of new 6 kilometer offshore pipeline 38 inch diameter in 25 metres of water, “S” lay method, and installation of 1.6 kilometer offshore pipeline installed by “Rentis” method.

Subsea tie-ins and riser are to be installed then post trenching operations will be carried out and commissioning of the system.
