Addressing the reduction of the Corporate Carbon Footprint

BEKK Solutions Limited has actively been addressing the reduction of the Corporate Carbon Footprint and with assistance from the Assessors and Auditors that have certified BEKK with both ISO 9000 & 14000 previously, and also supporting the Hong Kong Government drive by the Environmental Protection Department BSL have addressed the following to date;

• Upgrading Corporate Certification to ISO 14001:2004(E).
• Containerization of Vehicular Diving Systems reducing Vehicles by 80%.
• Reduction of Company fleet cars by 60%.
• Company takes advantage of HK Government initiative and incentive scheme and invests HK$ 2,500.000.00 in new approved fleet cars and scraps all other vehicles.
• Transportation allowance / expenses allocated to key permanent personnel/management to use on public infrastructure system.
• Office expansion works utilized installation of materials that did not contain VOC’s and implemented strict regime of environmental awareness for sub-contractors used for works in accordance with Waste disposal Ordinance (Cap.354) Section 35.
• Reduction of electricity consumption, installation of new approved energy efficient (set at 25?) air-conditioning system using the new approved environmental refrigerant - R410A - CFC free and Ozone friendly.
• Reduction of paper consumption by targeting maximum use of paper consumption and enforced recycling.
• Establish term contract with approved pest control contractor.
• Continually monitor the improved trends of the company and produce reports for Management review addressing current activities and expected future developments.
